Product Reviews.

I picked a few items out of my bedroom to do a product review on, all of which where purchased at Boots. I have also decided to do a star rating* on each product, based on my own opinions. Just because I have rated them this, doesn't mean it is what it is. If you believe that one of these products is for you, then you are best doing more research before buying, and just basing it on my opinion.

Lee Stafford Sun Kissed Lightening Spray.
£7.99
0 Stars.
I have naturally curly hair which often needs a lot of moisture added to it. It is also strawberry blonde at the moment as well.
I bought this product hoping that it would help take away the 'strawberryness' of my hair colour and bring out more blonder tones. But instead, I have decided to cut it short and not use it anymore. Not because it isn't doing what it says on the bottle though, because if I am honest I haven't really given it a chance to lighten.
I have decided this product is not for me because it makes my hair very brittle and rough to touch. As I have very curly hair, it often needs extra moistuser added to it. And even though I know that this product isn't for that, after using this spray and then applying a moisturising product, it still didn't feel any better.
I believe that this product is best suited for people with naturally straight/ wavy hair, which is able to moisturising itself well enough. Otherwise, you end up with very coarse hair. Not only at the ends, but at the roots as well.
I will not be buying this product again. I'd also just like to add that I have bought around 5 different products from Lee Stafford, and not one single one has made me happy. I've decided to stay clear from the brand and look for alternatives.

Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula.
£3.77
I have had this product for quite a while now, but only really started using it properly this summer.
I started using it on my legs because they tend to get very dry and have that blotchy appearance at times. This product solves the dryness of them, the itchy just shaved feeling and gives them a much more better overall colour.
It says on the bottle that it softens, smooths and relives dry skin, whilst also smoothing marks and toning skin - that is exactly what it does.
After I've shaved my legs, I put this on and sometimes if I'm wearing shorts or a skirt, I apply some just before I go out.
I'm a naturally pale person and I do not tan. I also do not like applying fake tan as I haven't had a good experience with it yet. So thanks to this product, I am happy enough to get my legs out, knowing that they look better than before, even if they are pale. I am happy being pale and do not feel that I need to have a tan, just so I can wear summery clothes.
The bottle I buy is 250ml and it is only just starting to run out now. I've already bought 2 new bottles, because I know that I can trust this product.
You can apply this product anywhere on your body, the only place I wouldn't apply it is maybe your face. I think it would be too overwhelming for some peoples facial pours. But anywhere else would probably be great. I recommend this to all people with dry skin.

Boots No7 Stay Perfect Liquid Foundation
£14.00
My Mum decided to treat me to a new foundation, after years of not been able to find a suitable one.
This foundation is a liquid based one with a push down top. The colour which is best for me is 02 Alabaster.
I have found that some foundations, even though they are the palest still give an orangey colour. But this one doesn't, no matter how much you apply. You could put on the entire bottle and still not be the slightest bit orange. It also has SPF 15 which helps me out as sometimes I burn under my eyes and on my nose.
I apply this product after I have cleansed and moisturized my face with other No7 products. I have tried to apply it without the moisturizer first, but I have found that it doesn't lay as nicely.
I do not wear foundation every day and sometimes I wear more than other days, depending on how good about my skin I feel, or where I am going. But this bottle has lasted me about 6 or 7 months. Again, I have already bought my next bottle.
Even though I really feel like this foundation is for me, it still has some downfalls.
The first one would probably be the glass bottle. It is a frosted one which means that I cannot tell how much or how little I actually have left.
The second would be that when I was at Leeds festival, it some how separated in the bottle. Even though it applies just as good, it seems to me as though the foundation and the SPF has separated. I do not know how it happened and I didn't expect for it to.

And thirdly, it sometimes makes my skin feel a little greasy. But I aren't sure if that is because I used to use dream matte mousse, and still aren't used to it.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Styling Spray
£5.28
Me and my curls aren't the best of friends, but I treat them to this god send of a spray! Some areas of my hair are very curly, some not so curly and some just frizzy, so this spray works a treat for the not so curly and frizzy bits. After spraying it on these areas of hair and twisting it around my finger, it makes them areas curlier than before and my overall hair has a better look. It doesn't make them as curly as the rest, but it helps even everything out.
I don't really ever wear my hair down and natural though, I tent to wear it up or wavy. But sometimes when I wear it all up, I like to have a little curly fringe. So when I have washed my hair I spray this on, grip my fringe into place and by the morning I have what I want. The curls sometimes drop, but not drastically.
I have bought this product many times before, and I will carry on buying it. I haven't come across something as good as this before and it is defiantly worth the money. Even if the price went up I would still buy it.
The only downfall is that you have to be careful of how much you spray on. You may think that the more you spray on, the curlier it is going to get, but it isn't. It just goes quite hard and gives you more of an scrunched look. Now unless that is what you want.. but I do not.
I think this product is best suited for people with naturally curly hair which needs a bit of a helping hand, or people with wavy hair who want a little more curls or waves added. I do not think it would help people out who have naturally straight hair.

Boots Natural Collection Lash Lengthening Mascara.
£1.99
I cannot remember the first time I bought this mascara, but I know I have had many. I think this mascara is the best one I have ever come across. I think what I like about it best is that it is such a good mascara, for such a small price!
Natural Collection do lots of different types. I use the Lash Lengthening one the most, but I also have Lash Build and Lash Definition and they are equally as good.
If this product went up in price I would still buy it. I think that it is just as good as all the other brand such as Maybelline and Rimmel.
I cannot think of any faults with this product, so I am just going to leave it at this. But out of all the products I have wrote about, I recommend this one to everyone! No matter who you are.

*1 star - poor and not satisfied - 5 star - brilliant and totally satisfied.

My Weekend.

Here are a few photos from my weekend. Even though I took my camera both places, I didn't manage to get any really good photos.
On the Friday, me and some friends went to see my boyfriend and his band. It was at King Billy in Cottingham, and it was their first gig.
It was the first time I had heard them play and I was really pleased. I think that they did an amazing job and I'm really looking forward to their next gig on Tuesday!
They are called The Body Farmers and you can see them on Facebook by clicking this link.

On the Saturday me and my friend Eve went up to my boyfriends Grandmas, for their annual summer party! I went to the one last year and this years was just as fun.
Me and Eve baked buns (which I should have taken a photo of, but forgot) and then caught the train down to Howden. Unfortunately we didn't get off the train quick enough, due to the door not working properly and we ended up in Selby. After figuring a way back to Howden, we arrived around late afternoon.
It was really fun because Carolines (Hals grandmas) house is really pretty and in a lovely area. She has a huge garden which meant that after the party, we could all camp over!
I spent most of the night with Eve and Hals family - sister, brother and cousins. Also, his sisters boyfriend Sam and his brothers girlfriend Linzi.
We also spent the majority of the Sunday there as well, having an amazing Pasta and Pesto meal, with home made Pesto!
It was a really fabulous time and I hope I'm here to see the next one, next year!

Wish List #1

These are just a few items which I have on my wish list. Here are the rest:
a foundation sponge
an eyebrow pencil*
ear piercings
a golden nose ring**
new college writing books.

Also, what are peoples views on the lip marker and the sun kissed lightening spray? Has anyone used them?

* Can anyone recommend me a good one? I only want one to darken my eyebrows. I have very fair brows and they aren't very thick, so I aren't buying a pencil to actual draw them on. I do not want scouse brows!
** Does anyone know where I can buy one? I want a simple gold one. Not actual real gold, but gold coloured.

My holiday in Poland.

These photos are all my favourite ones from my Poland holiday. It was a purely coach, meaning that we also stayed in some parts of Germany. The pictures range between Warsaw, Wroclaw, Krakow and Berlin, but in no particular order.
The panoramic ones at the top look really cool on my computer, but sadly not as cool on here. I don't know if you can click on them or anything to make them any bigger, but if you can I advise you to!
Poland was absolutely amazing and if I ever get the chance to go back, I most defiantly will. Berlin also was very interesting, I was shocked at how much I enjoyed it.

Kidults

Someone left this magazine on my bus yesterday, so I thought I'd take a look in it. I ended up bringing it home though, so I could write about it on my blog.
I haven't come across the magazine before but I think this one was a kids special edition. It was full of adverts such as Ugg, M&S and Burberry, all children's clothes adverts. There was also an article about this woman and her daughter, but it was this one which took my fancy!
Now if you know me well you will know that I aren't exactly the biggest fan of children, but I really loved this article on dressing your children like you!
Everyone knows that Suri Cruise and Mason Disick dress just like their parents, so why can't just normal every day children do the same? I personally think, that there is nothing wrong with it. Unless it is in a floozy way. Children should be able to wear things which are fashionable as well as comfortable, and if it can be done then why not?!
I know when I was little, I always wanted to wear my mums clothes and trot about the house in her jewelry and shoes, so I think it is really great that fashion designers are bringing out ranges which you can wear yourself and so can your daughter or son.
The only down fall with buying these type clothes are that they can be fairly expensive. Kids do grow really quickly, quicker than fashion changes so it can be an expensive ride. And I do think that is one of the reasons parents tend to dress their children in the traditional baby and youngester way. Simply because the clothes are specifically suited and made for the growth of smaller children. I mean if your child is growing, you don't want to be spending £50 on a dress for her when in about a months time, she will no longer fit in it.

Leeds Festival 2012.

My friend is moving to university soon, so this year a few of us got together and went to Leeds Festival. It was like one of the last chances for us all to properly get together and do something fun, so we bought the tickets right when they came out and even got the early bird.
Another more personal reason that I went was to see The Cure. The Cure are my favourite band and I simply cannot get enough of them. I have liked them since about 2010 now and I think I'm quite lucky to say that I have now seen them twice in 2 years.
I would defiantly say that The Cure where my favourite, then Paramore and then Band of Skulls.

My biggest worries for Leeds Festival where the weather, the mud, the general atmosphere and the toilets. However, once arriving my mind changed. It wasn't that muddy, you didn't really need wellies. The toilets weren't bad because they always had the general necessities, it barely rained and everyone was friendly!
We stayed in Purple camp, right on the border of orange and we had absolutely no hassle at all. We didn't make friends with anyone around us, but we knew that we weren't under attack by them. Some lovely people even offered to help my friend out when she had hurt her arm. Everyone was just lovely.

The tickets we got meant that we where there Thursday to Monday morning, but I ended up leaving on Sunday Evening. My reason for this was because I was absolutely totally drained to the max. I'd had a bit of a funny week with not really having an appetite, and then the camping part of the trip started to make my body sore. I didn't particularly want to leave that little bit early but I knew it was for the best.
What really gutted me though was that it started to really get at me when it was Saturday. Saturday I had literally stood up for nearly 6 hours watching bands, and when it came to The Cure encore I just couldn't hack it. I was and still are absolutely devastated that I left at that time, but I know for a fact that if I had stayed I would have collapsed.
But overall Leeds Festival was an experience and I probably would go again. Maybe this time though I would get a day ticket or not the early bird, and I would also take a pillow and an airbed.

I've posted a photo of the clothes which I also took, just for you little fashion nebs! And the other photos are from the Leeds Festival facebook page.
